Sunday, 22 November 2009 I was very interested when reading the quote of Wayne Gardner regarding Honda's bad finish in 2009.
--- "I had dinner with Dani and Alberto Puig at the Phillip Island race and I asked them what are their feelings -- what is missing," Gardner said. "I know how the internal politics work at HRC and I am now convinced that it is a lack of direction from top management; they have lost direction -- there no one at the steering wheel, no captain of the ship.
"In my opinion they need massive changes and they need to rethink their whole strategy.
"Apart from Casey they need some key people in the team to extract the right information from the riders -- someone who understands what is happening out on the track, someone who understands team management with a European perspective. (moto-racing.speedtv.com) --- I would have said the same thing too if asked about Honda since 2006-2009. When most of the seniors staff left HRC, HRC was at a loss, they didn't have any direction, and even Pedrosa and Hayden was good riders, they couldn't work together to develop the bike, to make things worse, Pedrosa was always injured when it comes to winter testing, he fell and injured for two years in a row, leaving Hayden alone to develop the bike of which many people doubt his ability to do the job, I myself doubt Pedrosa could create a good bike, he often tells the journos that Puig who in charge in developing the bike.
Honda seems getting tired of losing to Yamaha, this year they make a massive changes:
Alberto Puig will be NO longer Repsol Honda's manager, he is only become Dani Pedrosa's manager, he takes no more role in HRC, he just responsible for Pedrosa's garage.
Livio Suppo (ex Ducati's manager) was taken to Repsol Honda (HRC)
Two of Yamaha's mechanics are taken to Repsol Honda. Rossi was very sad about this news.
Possibility of Wayne Gardner's to HRC to take Stoner in 2011 to Honda, which is very possible, because Stoner is free in 2011. If Stoner can be fast on a 'strange' bike, he would be absolutely good on a good bike.
To conclude 2009, Pedrosa said Honda's engine is already perfect, (regarding the test in Valencia), smooth delivery and controllable, they just need to develop and make big changes in chassis, and the suspension.
If Dovizioso doesn't deliver in 2010, he will be out and for sure watch out Marco Simoncelli, he is very determined rider and I am sure he will be at HRC in 2011 along with Stoner or Pedrosa.
Wednesday, 21 October 2009 After being away for a while, finally I can go back to my old habit :) writing the article... little article for my blog.. I am sorry for you all my beloved readers. -))
As for the title, you see that finally Alex de Angelis goes to Scot Honda team with the HELP of San Marino's government. They will help funding the rider and Cirano Mularoni - Scot Honda's boss is the happiest man for a lot of money will come to his team.
The bad news is Toni Elias will be degraded to Moto2 team with Sito Pons team. The other (not) shocking news is that HRC has already vetoed the move of Gabor Talamcsi's group to retain the seat on Scot Honda. He will have to leave the team by the end of this year.
Fabio Berardi, Secretary of Sports and Tourism in San Marino, told on the public television that De Angelis receives full support from his country. "Today, a pilot team simply can not choose where to run, but needs the support of sponsors. That's why San Marino has tried to bring the sponsorship after reaching an agreement with Mularoni."
Friday, 21 August 2009 The news is not official yet but only lacks of the signature, Hector Barbera will be the only pilot of the newborn Team Jorge Martinez Aspar. The current pilot of April 250cc should sign a short contract, as reported by the Spanish website "Motocuatro". What slows down the negotiations were the spaces reserved for sponsors, they are Mapfre, Bancaja and Yellow Pages for Aspar Martinez and PepeTravel and 40 Principles of Barbera.
The agreement is for a season with an option for a second year, and Barbera will rise to the fifth category with Ducati on the grid. However it makes the position of Toni Elias, is still currently without a bike for 2010.
As some of you may haven't got the complete info about the rule's changing. I will post here for you all.
The most radical changes are the elimination of the free practice Friday, the elimination of the electronic starting system and the electronic control suspension.
From the GP of the Czech Republic, the drivers may use only 5 engines (to be managed for the last 8 races). It will not be allowed to change parties if not in the maintenance daily.
The ceramic materials can not be used for disk brakes or pads.
Eliminated the system of control at the outset.
Removed the electronic monitoring of the suspension.
There Will only be two tests post GP, in Catalunya and Brno in 2009.
--- Of course, insurance is still a must. If you need insurance of your own for your bike, then you're best of checking out where to compare van insurance and bike insurance online.

Monday, 22 June 2009 The news of the Red Bull offered 20 million for the Honda came to Barcelona (Montmelo GP). The house of energy drink that already sponsors personally to Andrea Dovizioso and Dani Pedrosa would take the place of Repsol (the historic sponsor of Honda) on the fairings and consequently on the suits of the HRC Team. Up until this point, the Red Bull would like Andrea Dovizioso alongside none other than Jorge Lorenzo, team-mate of Valentino Rossi in Yamaha. In fact, the Yamaha is discussing the renewal of the contract with Jorge Lorenzo and the choice of primary for the Majorcan is to be confirmed in Yamaha if there are no problems.
We see that the relationship between Valentino Rossi and the Mallorcan had deteriorated recently, he could take seriously the offer from Honda to himself. Also in Assen, we should already know the future of Marco Simoncelli who will move to MotoGP. The new rules require, however, that a novice can not begin on a factory team and therefore very likely that he will be riding for the Gresini Honda in 2010. Bearing in mind that the market has confirmed that Yamaha will not make more than 4 bikes in 2010 and that is why Aspar Martinez is talking to Ducati and Honda.
Just the way it is, MotoGP, Formula1 and World Superbike are in my blood. I love those races just the way I love my life. I ride mostly in my life, although if rains hard I choose to drive :)
We need to live to feel life, I love bikes and it makes me feel alive.
